- You ARE ALLOWED to change teams during the tournament.
You CAN also change your Play Book at anytime during the Tournament.
- All games will be played on a 20" or larger TV (Final four on Big Screen Projection).
- Memory cards are not allowed!
Game Settings
- Updated roster will be used.
- Settings are default.
- All-Madden level is set to All-Madden.
- All-Pro level is set to All-Pro
- AI levels are default.
- Instant replay is off.
- Fatigue is on
- Random Weather ON all the way until the Championship Game. Random Weather OFF for the Championship Game.
- Audibles and substitutions can only be changed before the game, at halftime, or if you use a timeout.
- The use of quick passing and player lock is allowed but is not required.
- If you pause the game (using the START button), you must burn a timeout as a penalty. If you have no timeouts left, you will be required to take a penalty (delay of game for offense, or offsides for defense).
- If the game remains tied after overtime, restart the game with the same setup, and the first team to score will win. Half-time will last five minutes, unless both teams agree to start the second half before the five minutes has elapsed.
- In the event of an outage of power, accidental unplugging, system freeze or some other event not in either player's control that would not allow the participants to finish the game, the game will be restarted using the "situational setup" to exactly match the score, settings, quarter, time and possession so the game can continue as it was.
Glitch Rules
- When an opponent is kicking (Punt, FG, or XPT) you may use any formation to try to block the kick but you are NOT allowed to line-shift, move any player, and/or MANUALLY BLOCK at anytime. If the computer comes in and blocks that's fine. If you do MANUALLY BLOCK, your opponent will be awarded the points he/she would have received.
- No calling a timeout when an opponent is kicking their FG or Punt. Once this happens you must pause the game immediately and call for a DMV Gamers judge to come and review the play. DO NOT take the liberty of reviewing the play before contacting a judge.
- QB Sneak: NO QB sneaks unless you have less than 2 yards to gain or you are in the red zone.
- Use Of Hurry Up Offense: The use of the hurry up offense after an incomplete pass is prohibited
If this happens you must pause the game immediately and call for a DMV Gamers judge to come and review the play. DO NOT take the liberty of reviewing the play before contacting a judge.
- Penalties for breaking this rule - Timeout or delay of game for each offense.
- Onside Kicks: The use of onside kicks are prohibited unless you are losing the game. You are only allowed to recover 1 on-side kick per game.
- QB Animation During Play Setup: You must press A to bypass the QB camera animation that occurs after each offensive play. DO NOT allow the animation to occur. This does not allow the defense to setup thus giving a full advantage to each offensive set.
- Jump Snap Glitch: There is a way in the game to get the jump snap feature to work every single time. Do not use it in this tournament. Also in the controller configuration settings, you CANNOT have the Y button as EMPTY.
- NO Goal Line Offensive Plays: No goal line offensive plays can be called unless it’s inside the five yard line on either side of the field. Use other big or jumbo sets if you need to pick a first down in short yardage situations.
- Motioning WR Prior to Pass Play: On any pass play (play-action as well), if you motion a WR into the LOS (between the TE/T, line of scrimmage), WR must clear last person on the LOS on the opposite side, before hiking. Hiking while the WR is in motion between the TE/T is prohibited.
There are two exceptions to this rule. They are as follows:
1. If a receiver has been hot routed to pass block then you can motion him and snap the ball between the tackles to add an extra pass blocker.
2. On any run play a receiver may be motioned and the ball can be snapped while he is between the tackles.
